Imaginary Landscape

I went to the Smithsonian American Art Museum last week with my husband and my landscape painter cohort Noah Bradley. Having only been there once before (about ten years ago), I didn't realize they had such a large collection of paintings from the Hudson River School- specifically the gigantic opulent landscapes by Moran, Bierstadt, and Church.
