Decompressing from the IMC

After arriving back in DC around 4:00 AM this morning on a delayed train, I feel like I could nap for a solid year, but I'm still totally glowing with excitement from the past week at the Illustration Master Class in Amherst, Mass.

It'll take me a little while to compose my thoughts and photos from the IMC, so in the meantime, here's a quick watercolor pencil sketch I did of Dan Dos Santos during one of his painting demos:

Tomorrow I'll be posting my finished Tarzan painting, along with a boatload of process shots, so stay tuned! :)

  2. Glad you made it home safely, Cynthia. I know this was Dan even before I read your post. Good likeness. Doesn't he have the most beautiful skin?
I will look forward to your process shots and IMC photos. Enjoyed the Awesome Horse Studio interviews too.

    1. Thanks so much, Kim. Dan does have great skin, but it's rare that he holds still enough to sketch in public, hehe. I wish we'd had a better internet connection for the Awesome Horse interviews, but everyone was happy to come on the show and talk about IMC- glad you enjoyed them!
